The internet is a tool, a weapon, and an escape hatch. You can use it to do good, to do others harm, and to escape reality. Here is what I want to do with it: I want to use it as a tool do much heavenly good in this earthly world. I want to use it as a weapon to do much harm to the forces of evil (I know that sounds a little archaic), which are doing much harm to many people. I want to use it as an exploration hatch, not to escape reality but to expose it.
With the internet, we have incredible opportunity to educate our minds and anchor our souls in truth--not the marshmallowy, sticky, cavity-causing "truth" of mere opinion--the rock-solid, spirit-building, life-transforming, joy-filling truth of magnificent revelation. My mind is boggled as I stand on the technical shoreline and look out at the vast ocean of opportunity the internet opens up for eternally affecting people's spirits by advancing God's truth. I know that I cannot swim the entire ocean, but I can swim in my own little pool of it, enjoying the tides of the waters, enjoying making my own little waves, and enjoying the company of other swimmers. If you see me in the water, I hope you'll swim over for a chat.
